In my 3rd year at College I have to make a 3 min Graduation Film For which we first had to make up 3 ideas. Here they are.

Idea 1 :- Romantic Elevator

The idea is a romantic comedy in an elevator where a office guy sees a beautiful girl and falls for her at first sight. He tries a lot to speak to her multiple times but fails. The girl unnoticinly notices his trails and falls for the boy. He tries to talk to her, giving flowers and chocolates. His trails are destroyed by others who enter the elevator in different level.

I got this Idea when I was watching a video on YouTube for inspiration where a guy sees a girl in a lift and falls for her and he later finds her being attracted to another strong guy. He then find some kind of Re-constructor gun in a science showcase and uses it to save the girl from a collapsing building.

But basically I saw the first where he sees the girl on the lift and falls for her and thought why not make the whole story in there.

For world setting I first thought it could be set in a different universe,like a magical world with trolls and witches, because i wanted to bring a Bear into the lift but scraped it cause it became too stupid and the characters were not starting to make sense.

Idea 2 :- The Driving School

For my second Idea, it hit me while i was learning to drive from a driving school. It is a comical idea where a group of driving instructors talking to each other about there worst driving student. After three instructors stories a car smashes in through a wall of the room and the driving instructor in the car says "anyone got a worse student than this guy"and points to his student.

I was learning to drive and also thinking of an idea for the films when I asked myself what would the driving instructors do when they had free time. I just put a few instructors in the same room and gave them a break and they start to talk and tell stories. What Stories? was the next question. So to make it funny, just let bad driving students having almost near death experiences was the best.

For this two ideas I usually prefer to do CGI and wanted to show of my skill so I was planning to make the characters look like hand made dolls and made of something like wood.

Idea 3 :- The Tale of Two Kingdoms

In a far away land there was a huge prosperous kingdom with a king and queen with no children. Like all kingdoms they had a neighboring;enemy kingdom who wished to conquer them. The 2nd king sent a spy to kill the first. The spy did kill some one but not the king, it was the queen's lover and king had gone for a game of hunting for a week. The spy got caught and was kept in prison till the king came back. The King was happy the lover (he dint know that existed) was killed and threw a feast for the spy and later killed him for trying to kill him. He later threw his wife the queen with his slaves for cheating on him and got his minister together, made a plan, assembled his armies and attacked the neighborliness kingdom. He killed the second king, married his wife and lived happily with the two kingdoms and a new queen.

From my first year in college I wanted to try make a movie using a set of rules "On how to write a play" set by a old sage in India ages ago, which I had learnt a few of in high school. The rules are somewhat similar to morden day version of rules if you want a universal rating on a movie.

In ancient times in India(as per my knowledge), before movies, dramas/plays where written by sages which were enacted to common people to spread all kinds of knowledge from moral to scientific knowledge. So as to not spread negative messages they had a set of rules like not to show destruction or death on stage but to imply it indirectly with words.

With this in mind I started a story(but by the end i broke all the rules but got a nice and really funny story so i compromised).

I basically began with a king. He needs a queen and kingdom so i gave him one. Like in all story there needs to be an enemy kingdom, i created one but bit smaller from the first. What do the enemies usually do, try to kill of course. So i made the enemy king send a spy to kill the first king. To bring some mix i sent the king on hunting and for a twist i let the spy kill some-one but who? A brilliant idea I got from a kinda horror movie involving kings and a girl, give her a lover. Hence I gave the queen a lover who gets killed by the spy when the king has gone hunting. For Predictability i let the spy get caught.

So how does the king feel when he comes back from hunting, 2 things, he is happy and angry. what does he do? first the happy part, he is happy the queen's lover is dead, which he dint know of so as a reward he throws the spy ahuge feast, and for the angry and coming near to climax, he kills the spy for trying to kill the king and for having a secret lover the queen gets thrown with the slaves and the enemy king gets killed. to make it a bit positive he captures the enemies kingdom and marries the enemies queen and makes her his own.

To tell this story in a nice way would be to narrate it and make it more like puppet show to bring a bit more humor into it.
