Research on Body Language

Research on
Body Language
Project-6

Rejection
·       A person who gets rejected gets confused and feels sad and disappointed which is shown in his face.

·       He shows rejection by slouching.

·       He becomes frustrated and irritated.

Tiredness
·       A person who is tired feels sleepy and hence yawns. Yawning is the most common indication of tiredness.
·       The person also sometimes stretches his hands and legs indicating tiredness.
·       They also make very long sigh and close their eyes for a few seconds.
·       All ages and genders have almost the same indication for tiredness.
·       A indication mostly in males is to scratch there body or behind but in females its mostly there head.
Some even rub their necks indicating tiredness.

Boredom

·       A bored man would be slouching with is forehead a bit wrinkled. He will have his mouth open (or oddly shaped)  and feel a bit tired. He will be fiddling with his hand or using it as support for his head. His eyes half open unless his head is bent down and he is seeing upwards like in the above image.
                                                   OR
·       A bored person will lean back on whatever he is sitting and have his body almost stretched. His mouth closed and in this case he will not be tired but be in a position somewhat resting. His eyes will be looking at a fixed point and again fiddling with his hands.
·       If he is walking he will be moving slowly not lifting his legs much high and if the person or character and male is after the 20th century he will have his hands in his pocket. He will have is head bent down and in most cases shoulders up.
If the person is standing still, he will have his legs a bit apart staring mostly down or some fixed point. and again is hands in pocket. If it is a women the position of the hand depends on their dress i.e., folded or clutching the purse...

Happiness
·       The main indication his a smile on the face and important thing is that there are no wrinkles of any kind except those of age. His cheeks puff a bit.
·       When the person is happy he sits straight and is body becomes rigid. His chest goes up as if he is filled with pride.
·       There isn’t much in the body language to indicate happiness.
·       But when a person is excited with happiness he jumps up and spreads his hands...

Anger

·       When a person is angry his face tightens and his hands are in very much heavy motion to make the point
·       His posture is rigid.
·       His shoulders go up.
·       His body actions are quick and fast like moving his hands or walking. Hands trying to bang something mostly.
·       His eyes become big and eyebrows come closer causing a few wrinkles on his forehead. His cheeks lift up a bit.

Confusion:- in state of confusion the person is doesn’t move much but his face says everything. His eyes are wide open looking at some fixed meaningless point, his mouth also open.

·      Irritation:- just like anger but his actions are at normal speed and is shoulders are a bit high but not much.
· The one thing I observed is that the ears don’t move in any change in body language.
